Reporting your Student Absent

Please let the office know If your child will be absent, late, or picked up early, even if you have already advised the teacher, so that we do not bother you at home/work.

Notify us with one of the options below: 

• Send an email to lakeview.info@burnabyschools.ca and copy the classroom teacher
• Call the school at 604-296-9018 and press 2 to leave a message

Please include the following details:

• • Child(ren)’s Name(s)
  • Teacher/Division
  • Dates/times
  • Reason for Absence

Please note that you are required to contact the school each day your child is absent or will be arriving after 9:15am, unless you’ve indicated in a previous voicemail or email that your child will be away for a certain period of time.

Absent for an Extended Period

If your child is going to be absent from school for more than 3 consecutive weeks.
